Forest Academy forums in 2009
Two new Forest Academy forums are arranged in 2009. The forums consist of a seminar session held in the Helsinki region and a three-day excursion to Varkaus Region in Eastern Finland.
- The 26th forum was organised on April 22 and between May 6 and 8. The 27 forum is organised on September 16 and between September 30 and October 2.
Follow-up session on August 31, 2009
On Monday August 31st, Forest Academy organises a Brunch session jointly for all those who have participated in one of the forums. The event takes place in Helsinki, Restaurant Pörssi (Fabianinkatu 14).
Finnish Forest Industry is facing significant times of change. The Bruch discusses the future of forest industry and wood consumption in Finland from different points of view. The opening speech is held by Mr Raimo Sailas, Leader of Forest Academy's Advisory Group and Secretary of State.
Key note speaker is Mr Jussi Pesonen, CEO, UPM and a commentary notes are given by Mr Risto Seppälä, Professor, Finnish Forest Research Institute and Mr Juha Hakkarainen, director, Forestry Goup of The Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners (MTK).
Invitations to the event were sent in August.
