Forest Quiz

Forest Quiz is a nationwide competition for pupils between the ages 13 and 15. Over a million people have taken part in the Forest Quiz over the years since 1982. This year the Forest Quiz Day was on Wednesday February 8th. See the Forest Quiz competition form 2018 and the list of participating schools.

The best participant of the best 50 schools will be invited to the final in Helsinki (May 24-25) together with their teachers. See the list of 50 best students, who have been invited to the final. Invitations have been sent by e-mail to the teachers.

Each school has a Forest Quiz sponsor, who will, when possible, come and hand the winner’s diploma. Please, contact your sponsor if you’d like to have this kind of visit. For the contact information see the list of sponsors.

The school winner gets a wooden mug (kuksa) and a diploma as a price.

Every participating pupil gets a bookmark and teachers get glass coasters made of pulp.

The 50 best school winners and their teachers will be invited to the Forest Quiz finals from 24th to 25th of May in Helsinki.

About 13 school winners will get a two weeks summer job offered by Forest Management Associations around Finland.

The Forest Quiz sponsors take part in development cooperation. They give one euro per participating teacher for forest projects in development countries.
